Recreate NZ is a youth based organisation looking for a Waikato Youth Programme Coordinator to be based in Tauranga (negotiable, could be Hamilton).
The successful applicant would align closely with Recreate NZ values and work well within our small passionate team.
The role is part-time and comprises a mixture of 20hours pw office based functions, and off-site programme delivery. (averaging around 30 hours pw including programmes)
Programme delivery includes facilitating evening, school holiday and multi-day weekend programmes (including overnights) for groups of youth with a variety of mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.. (For a full range of our programme offering check out our website - www.recreate.org.nz.)
With head office being based in Auckland and the Waikato region just starting up last year, we are looking for self motivated applicants who can help with the building of Recreate's profile in this area. This will include meeting with schools, youth, service providers, volunteers and families.
All our Programme Coordinators require excellent administration and communication skills, good spoken and written English, plus solid ''attention to detail'' event planning skills. Additionally we are looking for great leadership skills, adequate cooking skills, full drivers licence, and an ability to think on their feet when out and about our marvelous country.
