GM Whānau Development

This is a unique and exciting role to encourage strong, vibrant, prosperous, healthy and resilient whānau.  The emphasis is building strong links with whānau, ensuring an excellent experience for people and developing a deep understanding of how best to serve the hapū. 

You will have the opportunity to create partnerships with organisations externally to enhance and advance the outcomes of the hapū in line with the strategy.  You will foster strong team dynamics and internal relationships and drive a high performing team whilst still maintaining the heart and passion of the organisation.  The diversity of the role covers education, culture, social development, and health to name a few.


Ideally, you’ll have:
  • Tertiary qualification
  • Experience (4+ years) in a managerial role, with demonstrably strong people management skills
  • Experience driving continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated financial and commercial proficiency, ideally within service delivery
  • High degree of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience in a complex and dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and partners.
  • Passion for social change and for raising the aspiration for our whanau.
  • Proficiency in ngā tikanga me te reo Māori an advantage.
