What the job involves
Leading a small team that researches, drafts and delivers by-laws and policies that are in line with Council's direction. In this role you will provide advice to activity managers, draft high quality reports, policies or by-laws on behalf of others and ensure our processes are compliant with the Local Governance Act at all times. With our Long Term Plan now signed off, you'll be busy completing our forward work programme ahead of the 2019 Annual Plan project which you lead.
Who are we looking for?
A strategy and policy professional with relevant qualifications, proven experience at a senior technical level and also experience managing a team. An inclusive approach to leadership is a must, as is building lasting relationships with stakeholders. Your oral and written skills will showcase your ability to communicate at all levels and across diverse audiences. You will be politically astute, highly organised, have an optimistic outlook and an enthusiasm for not only owning this role, but furthering it.
