New Zealand Police is the lead agency responsible for reducing crime and enhancing community safety. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of our business by reducing the incidents and impact of family harm (FH).
This is a position where you will be expected to work as part of the Child Protection Team to coordinate support services to families. The position will also be working closely with the Area Youth Service and the Family Harm Teams.
There are two position available, one based in Western Bay of Plenty (Tauranga) and the second in Rotorua. Applicants will need to specify there preference at the time of application.
Skills & Experience:
Negotiate and advocate the appropriate services for victims and their whanau.
Meeting with and working with victims and their whanau to address the underlying causes of FH.
Being an active member of a high performing team.
Being able work with a diverse range of people.

Additional Information:
Successful applicant must obtain a clearance under the Vulnerable Children’s Act
Successful applicant must obtain or hold a current First Aid Certificate

A background in social services or policing would be desirable.
