About the role
This position is employed within the Family Start Team working as a Lead Professional within the Children's Team approach facilitated by Oranga Tamariki, Ministry for Children.
The purpose of the Lead Professional role is to work together with the child and the family/whanau to identify needs and co-ordinate services to ensure that the needs are met. Working collaboratively across agencies and sectors, the Lead Professional facilitates a comprehensive holistic assessment that identifies areas strengths and needs, to ensure the wellbeing of children who may be at risk of harm. The Lead Professional is the key person to support whanau and co-ordinate agencies working within integrated intensive intervention, developing a single plan to meet the needs of the child.
