Ryman Healthcare’s Yvette Williams Retirement Village is seeking an experienced and dedicated Activities Coordinator/Diversional Therapist. In this role you will run a programme of events for our hospital residents to enhance their emotional, social and physical wellbeing.
We have a full-time position available working Tuesday through Saturday from 0900 – 1600 in our Psychogeriatric Hospital.
Key skills required:
- Diversional Therapy qualification or willing to study towards this
- Experience running a programme of events required
- Aged care experience
- Knowledge of and experience with dementia
- Empathy and patience with elderly
- Enthusiastic and creative - ability to think outside the square!
- Organised and efficient at managing time
- Outstanding communication skills
- Current, clean NZ Drivers licence
