About the job
- Working with people with intellectual and physical disabilities in our residential homes
- Providing day to day care, support and supervision with all aspects of daily life. This includes personal cares, household duties, and meal preparation
- Supporting people to get involved in their community
- Working alongside other providers in the community to support the people to achieve their goals
Who are we looking for?
- People who are experienced working with behaviours that can be challenging
- Those with a reasonable level of physical fitness and who like to get active and involved in activities with people
- Those who have an understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi
- People with a good level of resilience and ability to build solid relationships with people
Essential requirements
- You will need a full New Zealand Driver's Licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle, including mobility vans.
- The right to work in NZ is essential
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 roster
