About the role

The dedicated team are looking for a Home Support Coordinator to join them on a part time basis to build upon the existing delivery of home support services to its residents who live in both independent homes and serviced apartments. Reporting to the Care Services Manager, the Home Support Coordinator will support the Village Services Team, while also assisting residents to achieve their goals and ensure they are able to remain in their homes for as long as possible.

On offer is a part time opportunity, working 5 hours per week. These hours could suit someone with children at school, as hours could be worked in the morning or afternoon over 2 days a week e.g. Tuesday & Friday.

Skills and experience required

Previous experience as a caregiver for the elderly would be advantageous. You will be reliable, honest and caring with the ability to work unsupervised as well as being a supportive member of the team. A current first aid certificate and an ACE qualification will also be advantageous.

You must also have medium to high level administrative and computer skills, and must be completer finisher, as a lot of the work is self-directed e.g. ordering supplies on a monthly basis for the team.

You will appreciate how important this position is in delivering an outstanding service to our residents, so you will have empathy for the older person; excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate in a clear, considerate fashion. You will be creative and friendly, with medium to high administration and computer skills, and an industrious, diligent approach to ensuring that the job is done to the highest standards.
