About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with staff in the Hawkes Bay Region, with a particular emphasis on Hastings and Napier, to ensure course occupancy expectations are met or, even better, exceeded!  It is crucial that programmes are full and that clients are in the right programme for their situation and employment goals. You will achieve this through strong communication and influencing skills and will excel in the promotion of opportunities to clients and staff.

The Programme Co-ordinator is the “go to” person for external programme providers (for example – Training Providers) on day-to-day operational matters, needing to be able to handle these effectively and have the skills to build strong and on-going external relationships.

You will bring to the role:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop trust and rapport quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships (internal and external).
  • Marketing and promoting services to staff and management.
  • Analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Good computer skills (in particular with Excel) and the ability to pick up new systems and processes.
  • The ability to adapt in a changing environment.

Sound labour market knowledge is desirable as is your ability to identify gaps in our course provision.
