About the Role
Reporting to the OSCAR Coordinator you will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of sporting, craft and recreational activities for children in a safe environment. This role is for Before School Care (7am-9am) and After School Care (230pm-6pm), Monday to Friday. There are two permanent part-time positions available, and though it is preferred if you can work all days and shifts it is not essential.
Duties
- Supervise children on the daily programme
- Ensure a safe and fun environment for all participants
- Provide constructive activities for children advancing their personal development and encourage them to try and learn new things
Skills and Experience
- Empathy for children, their development and their cultural background
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proven time management
- Ability to work independently across all cultures and ages
- Ability to use initiative in organising on the spot games and activities
- Dynamic personality
- Reliable and honest
- Some childcare work experience preferred.
- First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential
