Lecturer in Chemical and Process Engineering

What You Will Do

We invite applications for a Lecturer position in Chemical and Process Engineering (Assistant Professor in the US system) where you will develop an active teaching and research programme. Your research will complement the Department's present research activities, such as energy, catalysis, food processing and biotechnology but is not limited to these particular topics. You will also contribute to teaching in traditional core chemical engineering subjects, as well as being encouraged to develop a strong, externally-funded research programme as well as be expected to collaborate with other academics in the Department's teaching and research activities.

Who You Are

You will have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (or a closely aligned discipline), be able to demonstrate strength in research, and demonstrate a commitment to quality teaching.

Who You Will Work With

The Department is strong and forward-looking and is dedicated to excellence in research and teaching. CAPE offers a fully accredited (Engineering NZ and IChemE) four year undergraduate degree including minors in bioprocess engineering and in energy processing. We graduate approximately 60-70 BE(Hons) per year. We offer postgraduate degrees at both the ME and PhD level with postgraduate enrolments currently at ~50. We currently have 12 academic staff contributing to the teaching and research programme complimented by 11 support staff.
