Birthright Hawkes Bay Child and Family Care Trust run a range of social services and early childhood education across Hawkes Bay

We are currently looking to employ a qualified and registered ECE teacher for Tom Parker House Early Childhood Centre, which is licensed by Ministry of Education for up to 15 children aged between 0 and 2 years old.

You will work alongside the Head Teacher and other fully qualified teachers sharing responsibility for providing high quality early childhood education to children enrolled at the Centre.

The successful applicant will need to have the following skills, training and personal attributes:

• Be a vibrant, enthusiastic team player who is reliable, flexible and hard working.
• Be degree or diploma qualified in Early Childhood Education and be registered with the NZ Teachers Council- New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Have experience and a passion for working with under two year olds.
• An ability to work within the Ministry of Education early childhood regulations.
• Have experience working within a team to create plans and assess children’s learning and development using Te Whāriki 
• Have a proven ability to communicate well with others and able to build strong relationships with children and families.
• Be a lifelong learner, committed to your teacher registration and ongoing professional development.
