Are you skilled in policy development, research and development, and do you have a proven aptitude for building strong relationships and networks within a bi-cultural environment? Are you an exceptional communicator and have an affinity to relate to a diverse range of people?
You will also need:
- A minimum of 5 years in the Education sector
- Excellent pedagogical knowledge
- An advanced knowledge of administrative policies, procedures and technology
- Strong organisational, planning and reporting skills
- Ability to collate and analyse data to evaluate and record outcomes
- Awareness and understanding of core Ngāi Tahu education documents
- Experience operating within stakeholder relationships and working with Papatipu Rūnaka
- Knowledge of tikanga, with competence in te reo Māori
- A demonstrated affinity with Ngāi Tahu values and aspirations

This Senior Advisor will have a dual focus;
- Researching, identifying and implementing strategies, models and tools to support the effective execution of all Mātauranga programmes.
- Overseeing the day to day management of the Kaitoko - providing leadership and guidance, whilst also supporting the transition of these positions out into the Papatipu Rūnanga and establishing an ongoing support network for the new business model.
