Head Teacher - Ponsonby Kindergarten

Ponsonby Kindergarten is currently looking for a permanent, full time (40 hours per week), Head Teacher to join their team. If you are an experienced (5+ years), qualified and fully registered ECE teacher with proven leadership/management experience, this could be the position for you!

Balancing day to day operations and staff management alongside relationship management and teaching duties means variety and intrinsic reward.  Of course, it also brings challenges, compliance and operational targets, so you'll need to be energetic and enthusiastic about providing a high quality learning experience to our children and whanau. 

Our curriculum is driven by a strong play-based philosophy that promotes dispositional learning.  We have implemented the StoryPark e-portfolio and one of the exciting features of our organisation is that we offer a range of technological resources to extend children's learning, so you'll enjoy using ICT as a teaching tool.

Our families and community reflect the growing cultural diversity of Auckland, so a strong community focus is also a vital part of this role.

You will of course also work directly with the children and love to get your hands dirty.
