Where will you be based?
Your office will be home based with a requirement to travel to our stakeholders in the Canterbury region. You will be doing day trips within your territory, and overnight travel will be required.
What’s Involved?
The Workplace Advisor promotes and enhances training outcomes for employers and their trainees by:
- Advising on appropriate training solutions and pathways
- Assisting employers to implement sustainable training plans that are aligned to their organisation
- Identifying workforce development needs
Our ideal candidate is someone who:
Establishing credibility and maintaining effective relationships will be pivotal to your success. Your ability to create new, and strengthen existing partnerships with diverse stakeholders within the community will also be clearly evident. Proven experience working and interacting effectively with people at all levels in varied work environments, and from a range of community groups ideally involving Māori and Pacific peoples.
This role is part of a nationally focused and dedicated team of Workplace Advisors who meet regularly. It will involve frequent travel within the Canterbury region. The ideal candidate must be an exceptionally well organised, self-starter with good IT skills, who enjoys working autonomously as well as being part of a team. Experience in one or more of the following sectors would be advantageous; health, aged care, disability, mental health, social services or cleaning services
You will also need to demonstrate the following:
- A qualification at NCEA Level 3 or above (or equivalent)
- A full clean New Zealand Driver Licence is essential.
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors would be advantageous: health, aged care, disability, mental health, social services, or cleaning.
