About the role
NZMA requires a full time permanent retail tutor based at our Otahuhu Campus to teach a range of retail subjects specialising in all areas of customer service, stock management, staff training and motivation plus excellent understanding of loss prevention strategies – programmes range from level 2 to level 4.  This role will commence on 23 July 2018.   

NZMA’s Retail programmes provide students with industry-relevant knowledge and skills to prepare them for strategic roles in a range of retail environments. The programme aims to help them develop solid industry related skills such as the ability to effectively problem solve, manage both stock and staff to achieve organisational goals and KPI’s while providing excellent customer service.

Skills/Experience   

• Successful candidates will have:
• Relevant retail industry qualification
  Staff training and motivation experience at an Assistant Store Manager or team leader level.
• Expertise in teaching Sales and Marketing and/or Retail Selling - desirable but not essential as training will be given to the right candidate.
• You will be dynamic and engaging with a passion for developing people.
• Have a high level of interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of other fields such as Business and Contact centre would be beneficial.
