Due to expansion of our Early Childhood programmes, the UCOL Early Childhood team has an exciting opportunity for a part-time fixed term (06 August 2018 - 21 December 2018) Lecturer - Early Childhood Education and Care on the Wairarapa campus. This role would suit a passionate individual keen to strengthen the raw talents of students enrolled on the New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education programme/s.
As a member of UCOL's Early Childhood Team you will have the ability to inspire others to pursue and achieve their dreams by offering them quality teaching, mentoring and motivation. You will engage, support and motivate the students to achieve their qualification, the first step to achieving their dream.
This position requires you to be hands on, facilitating one on one learning, mentoring and motivating students, leading workshops and working with students individually, so your well-tuned rapport building and communication skills will be required.
It is highly preferred that you have a teaching qualification, a qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (encompassing both theory and practice) and experience in teaching Early Childhood Education programmes. It would be a strong advantage if you held the New Zealand Certificate in Adult Literacy & Numeracy Education (NZCALNE) and the New Zealand Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (NZCATT) or equivalent.
