English Language Partners is a not-for-profit, award-winning education provider with NZQA category 1 endorsement, that has been providing English language and social support to adult refugees and migrants for over 40 years.
About the role
We are seeking a part-time teacher to support learners who are employed, but keen to improve their workplace language skills as part of our English for Employees (E4E) programme, helping them increase their confidence, contribution and satisfaction in the workplace.
What's the job?
- 1 class, 2.5 hours a week from 6.30-9pm on Thursdays, starting immediately until November.
What we need from you
- A tertiary qualification in TESOL (minimum level 5) such as CELTA, Cert TESOL, Cert TEAL, Dip SLT – preferably one which contains a practicum.
- Experience in teaching ESOL and/or adult literacy
- A literacy educator qualification such as NZCALE (Voc); and/or experience or knowledge of workplace training is desirable
- A motivated self-starter with strong cultural sensitivity, empathy and the ability to work as part of a tight-knit team
