Job Description
- Monitor transport mode arrival and availability dates to ensure timely collection from terminals and depots
- Monitor customs clear status of shipments & advise brokerage department of pending or late clearances
- Confirm customer delivery instructions either standing or specific for all deliveries
- Ensure timely receipt of delivery orders from airlines, shipping lines and forwarders
- Ensure timely despatch of delivery orders to respective transport service providers
- Manage reconciliation of detention & storage invoices to ensure accurate billing to customers
- Update Customer SOP with changes to delivery requirements.
- Ensure MPI instructions are adhered to if required, e. fumigation, inspection.
- Ensure timely update of event codes e.g. DLV, POD
- Assist with invoicing and vendor invoice checking
*In addition to this, to perform tasks as requested, including, but not exclusive to, assisting in general operations
Qualifications
- Strong IT skills. MS office, Outlook and other key software applications.
- Competent and courteous communication and phone manner.
- Good georgaphical knowledge of Auckland and New Zealand.
- The ability to work off-site for local events
- Oral and written proficiency in the English language
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work productively both individually and in a team environment
- Sense of urgency for goal achievement
- Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Comfortable with regular data entry on a laptop computer
