As the Yard Manager, you will lead the Yard /Drive Thru and Order Pulling team, supervising all the distribution processes. You will ensure to meet performance targets while ensuring all aspects of health, safety, and environment are met. You will be motivating the team to ensure all goods are efficiently dispatched, in full and on time. You will maintain and continue to develop our accuracy and efficiency in recording, utilising, and managing of distribution system information. This is a hands-on supervisory role that will require a multi-skilled leader with a balanced approach to manage day to day activities and management responsibilities.
To be successful, you will need to have a previous experience in supervising and providing direction and guidance to other employees including on the job training. You will have a positive and engaging personality and confidence to drive the best out of your team. We are looking for someone highly motivated to make decisions and take actions to continuously improve performance and safety measures for you and your team. Knowledge of the building industry is important so you will ideally have some good exposure to dealing with timber and building materials. You must have a full driver’s license and experience with forklifts would be well regarded.
