It marked a significant milestone in eliminating commercial barriers and opening space for business. Founded in 2006 by Peter Beck, Rocket Lab is headquartered in Los Angeles with operations and a launch site in New Zealand. It is a privately funded company with investors including Khosla Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Lockheed Martin, Promus Ventures and Data Collective.

About the role:

Rocket Lab’s Supply Change function is growing rapidly and we now have a newly created Buyer position available, which forms part of the global buying team. This is a great opportunity to join one of New Zealand’s most exciting organisations that offers individuals the opportunity to be challenged daily whilst providing lots of opportunity to grow and prove yourself.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring Electron launch vehicle components required by the business are supplied at the right time, to the right place and at the best possible price. Our buying team plays a key role in moving our business from a R&D company to a manufacturing business and buyers are expected to identify opportunities for improvement and to support the business on this important and exciting journey.
