We are seeking an organised multi-tasking extraordinaire to drive exceptional & consistent service at CARTERS Dunedin.


THE ROLE:

The Despatch Coordinator role plays a pivotal part in our drive to deliver an exceptional and consistently reliable level of service to our customers. With responsibility for coordinating the day-to-day transportation requirements of the branch, this position promises to bring the challenge of juggling multiple tasks and requests. You'll have a range of duties including:

  • Managing the loading and despatch of customer orders
  • Prioritising, scheduling and following-up truck deliveries to site
  • Overseeing the operation of our distribution function
  • Customer Service
  • Occasional heavy lifting

WHAT YOU NEED:

Ensuring we deliver a quality service and product on time, we're looking for a motivated and conscientious team player who takes pride in exceeding customer expectations. This busy role calls for:

  • A skilled administrator who is adept at managing their time
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and comfortable in a fast paced environment.
  • A true knack for detail, great communication skills and a flexible approach to your work.
  • Happy to take a hands-on approach to your work as some heavy lifting will be required.
  • Computer literate and not afraid of learning new systems
  • A current F endorsement (forklift) licence and OSH accredited forklift certificate would be an advantage.
  • Building industry experience & exposure very helpful
