Procurement Team Lead

This large multinational is on the lookout for a Procurement Team Leader for their growing business. The Procurement Team Leader will be responsible for overall procurement categories across the business, taking primary ownership for long term assurance of supply in support of Order Fulfilment, New Product Generation, supply chain optimisation, time to market and volume objectives.
Key requirements for the role include:
- 5 – 8 years' experience in procurement within the food, pharmaceutical, or dairy industry.
- Solid experience in supplier development, management and contract negotiations, identification and development of suppliers to meet future business needs, management and optimisation of long term supplier relationships, setting supplier performance goals, formally reviewing suppliers to drive continuous improvement, looking after initial and on-going negotiations of prices, terms and conditions as per business requirements.
- Experience with Contract Manufacturing, Packaging Management and Labelling; managing contract / OEM relationships to provide services and products consistent with manufacturing objectives.
- Driving the development and the implementation of procurement strategies, processes, tools and system requirements to improve quality and productivity and the optimisation of customer satisfaction.
- Balancing a complex set of variables to ensure a consistent quality supply of ingredients, reporting metrics to key stakeholders, assessing the impact and root cause of supply gaps, identifying opportunities and plans for continuous improvement.
- Advanced computer proficiency – ERP experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
