Aggreko has a rewarding position available for a Mechanical/Electrical minded Operations Supervisor in the beautiful North Island of New Zealand. Is this role you will bring your hands on Leadership and mentoring experience to grow our hard working Technicians in Auckland & the greater Tauranga region.This role also has the potential career path to grow into an Operations Manager role within Aggreko in the greater Australian & Pacific region.

In this role you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and will manage the local/Regional administration and operations service department’s  which include fleet, stock, invoicing, debtors, monthly budgets, project planning, technical training, human resources, whilst been responsible for developing maintain and strengthen relationships with customers, suppliers and all stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities will include the below, but not be limited to;

  • Responsible Senior Technical leader of the Auckland depots and the greater Tauranga  region Lead.
  • Support growth initiatives, providing operational and administration excellence to both external and internal customers.
  • Ensure that the senior service supervisor and the service team are fully occupied with daily and weekly service targets.
  • Ensure all information for administrative tasks are completed including financials, invoicing, debt collection and movex is reported on time and in line with policy and procedures.
  • Ensure our fleet is “Ready for Rental” in accordance with the company’s policy to ensure supply does not affect our ability to deliver.
  • Provide information and training to enable the service team to answer customer enquiries.
  • Maintain fleet livery in accordance with the company’s policy Provide technical support to the Sales Team when required.
  • Ensure that stock control is maintained in line with financial restraints and budgets.
  • Ensure that designated stock takes are completed on time and accurate.
  • Ensure that all service staff and contractors work in a safe manner abiding to company policy in terms of housekeeping, safe working at heights, forklift driving and PPE requirements.
  • Organise and assist in the planning of onsite project needs and ensure that the customer is supported to deliver the job in accordance with the hire enquiry.
  • Ensure the depot is maintained and audited against the Aggreko Global Service Center Standards document
  • Build strong working relationships with the Sales team, Area Sales Managers, Administration Team and Area Administration Manager.
  • Facilitate the planning of daily tool box meetings and follow up on any key issues and action & attend & participate in weekly & monthly powerpack meetings.
  • Provide support to your Operations Manager and the company Black Belt on any Orange Excellence projects.
  • Achieve monthly set KPI’s for fleet reliability and delivery to meet Satmetrix Customer Quality Satisfaction Disciplines in terms of;

Job Requirements to be successful in this role;

  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams from a Rental warehouse capacity
  • Trade or engineering qualification preferably either as an, electrician, diesel mechanic or refrigeration mechanic (Desired)
  • Strong communication skills with natural influencing skills
  • The natural ability to lead, develop and maintain relationships with all departments
  • Strong customer focus facing & negotiating experience
  • The proven ability to work under pressure and make deadlines
  • Advanced PC Literacy
  • Proven leadership  planning, problem solving and coordination skills
  • 5/6 Sigma or Continuous Improvement training preferable, but not essential
