Our client is a leading NZ building products supplier with high demand for their products and services across the country.
They are currently in need of a Production Planner to join their Auckland based team to take control of the planning and optimisation of orders for their glass production line.
You will have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of production planning and experience in sales and operations planning. If you have a qualification in manufacturing or engineering and are familiar with ERP systems and ready to make the next career move then this is an opportunity not to be missed.
Our client is in a growth phase and there will be plenty of opportunities to grow your career within the company once you are on board.
Your role will involve:
- Health and safety management
- Planning and prioritising orders
- Working with operations team to drive machine efficiencies
- Communication with customer service team to keep customers up to date with delivery dates
- Manage staffing and materials requirements and constraints
- Meeting DIFOTIS targets
- Managing KPI reporting
We are looking for:
- Experience in the NZ building products industry
- Production planning experience
- Sales and operations planning experience
- Qualification in manufacturing or engineering
- Familiar with ERP systems
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to come up with solutions to problems as they arise and act decisively
- A strong H&S focus – this is crucial in glass production!
