Breadcraft is a privately owned family business, based in the Wairarapa. We manufacture a wide range of baked food products from our large manufacturing facility in Masterton. We are a local success story, poised for rapid growth enabling a meaningful contribution to wider Wairarapa community.

With your extensive background in food production you inherently understand the fine balance between people and machines. You are comfortable leading your team in pragmatic and hands on way. You have previous exposure to Lean manufacturing principles so you are all over best practice with an ability to right size this for where the organisation is now. You have experience in running at least 2 shifts and the challenges that that brings and you know all about food safety and Health and Safety in that kind of environment.

A natural coach, you know how to motivate and lead your team to be better and achieve more and you get huge satisfaction from it. Never office bound, you touch base with the floor throughout your day, you thrive on the challenge of getting things running smoothly and you get people over the drama and fuss of machinery breakdowns, line testing and changes with ease.
You’re pragmatic, concise, practical and hands on. You work in well with others in the leadership team to keep things humming, but you have an opinion and you are not afraid to share it. Solutions oriented and commercially focused you have experience in medium or larger businesses so you know what best practice looks like and you know how to deliver that experience in a hands on, real way, that lifts the game in a growing environment.
You are either degree qualified or qualified by experience so you know your stuff and you love what you do. You can make the courageous calls and you think differently and creatively to come up with the right solution that gets the results for the business. You bring a strong quality and compliance focus, excellent diagnostic skills and most importantly, you’re a great people person.
All over the numbers and reporting that come with management, you simplify the complex and deliver a concise summary of results to the business. You’ll report to the CEO and form a key part of the leadership team so this could well be the career step you have been looking for, in a beautiful part of New Zealand, with great schools and afforable homes.
