The Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain and Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading the management of the Warehouse and Transport functions to create a cost effective and sustainable world class level of service for customers.
This role calls for a motivated individual who thrives in an environment where you can put your analytical skills to the test on a daily basis. You will be someone who adopts an innovative approach to problem solving and will have a strong commitment to continuous improvement. Expert relationship building skills are essential, along with the desire to drive performance to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and controlling flow related to raw materials, consumables and finished goods
- Maintaining product control inventory, accuracy and condition
- Optimising the balance between warehouse activity and transport efficiency
- Monitoring performance with suppliers and conducting analysis of the delivery process
- Developing and maintaining strong long term strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years Distribution and Transportation Management experience
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional relationship building skills with a natural ability to inspire others to deliver on performance
- A passion for working in a dynamic and complex environment where people and excellent service really matter
- Excellent written and communication skills
