Joining our Cash Equities team in Auckland, you’ll step into the role of Research Sales/Sales Trader and work to build relationships across our NZ client base as well as internationally along with broader key stakeholders within Macquarie. We’ll be expecting you to possess proven experience in selling research product and for us, this will include ASX research to NZ institutions, as well as NZ Research to international institutions.  Execution and operation of Macquarie Cash Equities NZ orders, including but not limited to the preparation of daily “book” to send to clients and currency conversion where requested by clients, will also form a component of your day.  Working alongside senior members of our team, you will also assist with aspects of the Facilitation function and be fully aware of trading rules and regulations, including compliance.

You’ll need to hold relevant tertiary qualifications in finance or commerce or a related discipline and have gained approximately 4-5 years relevant experience in institutional sales, sales trading, research-sales or in a broking environment. Being detailed and methodical as well as possessing outstanding verbal and written communication skills, you will be able to seamlessly interact with stakeholders at all levels. You will also operate with a high level of numerical and computer literacy.  Naturally, you will be highly-motivated, driven and commercial in your work approach.
