Right now we have a unique career opportunity for a commercially savvy, supply chain professional to own the planning and negotiations for BP NZ’s national fuel and oil operations.
As our Supply Planner & Negotiator you’ll focus on ensuring supply continuity is maintained and optimised across both manufactured and imported product. You’ll apply your commercial acumen to maximising the efficiency of our refinery investment as well as negotiations with suppliers and competitors. This broad role could be just the right move for your supply chain career enabling you to blend commerciality, planning, optimisation, negotiations, stakeholder management.
The fuel landscape is evolving rapidly and presents both challenges and emerging opportunities. NZ is receiving more fuel and oil imports than ever before, customers are demanding more fuel varieties, and the competitive landscape is fast-paced. Bring your supply planning experience to this role and be at the heart of the action enabling the rest of our BP team to keep delighting our customers.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring supply continuity nationally for BP.
- Represent and negotiate for BP in various joint ventures.
- Maximise opportunities where available across all areas of our supply chain including product procurement, refinery operations and joint ventures.
- Risk management and process optimisation
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Demonstrated, significant supply planning experience.
- Experience within complex supply chain environments.
- Strong commercial acumen to identify and maximise opportunities, and minimise risk.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- An ability to learn quickly, proactively take control of situations and strong attention to detail
