An opportunity exists for a high achieving, self-motivated and results driven individual to join our team at our Mount Maunganui, Tauranga site as part of the operations/manufacturing team.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Lead, this position is responsible for providing achievable production plans/schedules, that meet our customers’ delivery requirements, to two of our manufacturing facilities (Mountview and Hornby).
Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Schedule production of bulk products to meet customer expectations
- Accurately generating purchase requisitions, stock transfers and Process/Production orders
- Maintain material and products inventory levels to supply production requirements
- Prepare major Raw material requirements forecast
- Issue and maintain Production Planning instructions and Bulk Delivery Schedules
- Conduct monthly and cyclic Stock takes and control accuracy of Computer Stock levels.
- Monitor inventory control, stock levels and production output via Production/Process order review
- Assist the Supply Chain Lead in maintaining supplier records and ISO 9001 procedures.
- Provide backup to the Australian Production Planner as required
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Candidates with a Bachelor Degree in Business or Logistics or equivalent certificate in Logistics Management will be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge and experience in scheduling, planning, purchasing and warehouse strategies ideally within a scheduling/procurement role in a complex manufacturing environment.
- SAP or other ERP system experience including strong MS Office suite of products is essential.
- Proven ability to work in a highly demanding environment dealing with conflicting priorities that requires initiative, flexibility, adaptability and high level of attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Transportation regulations, DG legislation and appropriate to the handling of incoming and outgoing materials would be an advantage.
