What you'll be doing:
You will be in charge of production & capacity planning for the group. Accommodating to the best of the plant capacity customer demands and managing customer expectations and ensuring the business is best utilising its assets.
Key tasks will include:
· Regularly developing and updating the plant capacity plan based on people, hours and volume.
· Utilising forecasts from customers to maximise the utilisation of the plant and manage availability based on customer expectations.
· Communicating production schedule to Operations Manager, Ops team & Commercial team.
· Communication to key customers on plant availability and scheduling of production based on demand forecast.
· Manage business requirements to optimise the assets and ensure business assets can run effectively.
· Key input in the decision-making process on production to ensure production decisions are made that make commercial sense to the business
Inline with the above you will be an integral member of the team in terms of systems development and optimisation and will manage the day to day loading of key inputs into our IT systems for automated production. You will have a great eye for detail, an excellent understanding of commercial strategy that aligns with production and a can-do attitude.
As well as being an excellent relationship manager, you will be analytical and extremely proactive. You will be comfortable working within a small, very supportive business, somewhere where you will have to roll your sleeves up to get the job done! You must love fast-paced and be able to demonstrate a proactive work ethic!
We need an up-and-coming superstar who has at least 5 years production planning and scheduling experience preferably in an FMCG environment. You'll be a focused go-getter, with high ambitions and drive. The team is young at heart and has a strong work hard, play hard mentality.
