The Soap Factory Limited is a privately owned, leading contract manufacturer of boutique soap for the personal care industry.
Based in Pakuranga, the Manufacturing plant currently runs two shifts
But the role offered is
Day Shift Monday to Friday 7 am till 3.30 pm
We are initially looking for someone to train and work on the day shift but if people are willing to work afternoon shifts from time to time if required would be given preference
The positions involve working as part of a small multi-skilled team operating the machinery.
We are wanting to hear from people who are fast learners and are willing to prove they have what it takes to become a machine operator. You will need to strive to help us maximize production and quality, work well in a team and actively share in our strong focus on health and safety and continual improvement. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, keen to learn and have the ability to work unsupervised.
This role reports into the Manufacturing Supervisor and its main focus are working on Soap manufacturing equipment, to produce products which meet our customer requirements. Along with the machine operation, the role also provides back up to the team in all production and packing areas.
You will need to have:
• Previous experience working on process machinery, with strong mechanical aptitude
• The physical ability to lift heavy items
• A positive, can-do attitude
• A high level of reliability
• Excellent Team Player
Given this is an entry-level position, it would suit someone who has 1-2 years of machinery experience, priority is given to people with machine operating experience, however, your positive attitude and good work ethic are the most important things to us!
