This is a 12 month fixed-term senior leadership role within the Service Quality and Assurance team. The role is responsible for the management of a wide range of business functions, including current work streams and future programmes of work. We are ideally wanting the successful candidate to start on 01 October 2018.

About the role

The purpose of this position is to lead, support and motivate a large team of staff working across four significant work streams associated with both the Foreign Account Taxation Compliance Act (FATCA) and the Common Reporting Standards (CRS) Compliance Act. Many of the CRS compliance functions remain in "Project" phase and require ongoing enhancement to transition the programmes of work into a business as usual environment.

In this role, you will:

  • lead, support and motivate a large team of staff (both permanent and external contractors) working across for significant work streams associated with both the FATCA and CRS Compliance Programmes
  • support the business in the delivery of strategies designed to enable BNZ to meet its compliance obligations in regards to foreign tax legislation requirements
  • assist with the development of functionality within the manual PIVOT for CRS and then supporting the delivery and transition of manual processes into the integrated technical solution (phased approach) for customer on-boarding and change of circumstance reviews
  • assist with the development, delivery and integration of the FATCA/ CRS Client Funds Service Compliance Programme
  • assist with the development, delivery and integration of the CRS pre-existing customer review programmes for both High Value and Mass Market customer groups
  • develop and deliver improvements to improve and enhance customer experience, reduce delivery complexity and leverage efficiencies in regards to both the FATCA and CRS Programmes
  • develop, refine and deliver, with the assistance of the Project Team, relevant communication programmes to assist customers with becoming compliant under the legislative obligations placed on the Bank.

About you

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Proven people leadership experience
  • A strong understanding of key compliance and risk management processes
  • A sound understanding of FATCA/ CRS Compliance (or similar compliance programmes)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Project management, business relationship (Internal and External Suppliers) and Business Optimisation experience
