The Company is experiencing significant growth and a number of manufacturing plant expansions is underway. Our Waharoa site produces a range of products and by-products incl. WMP, SMP, Cheese, WPC and AMF. The Waharoa Site Manager is responsible for the cost and operational excellence of the entire manufacturing site. The role reports to the General Manager of Operations and has direct reports responsible for the site functional areas.

Responsibilities include

  • manufacturing efficiencies,
  • RMP and environmental compliance,
  • employee safety, training and engagement,
  • product quality to specification,
  • development of the annual budgets,
  • conversion cost performance, 
  • management or support to capital and process improvement projects,
  • facilitating customer visits to site.

Staff and contractor health and safety management as well as staff development and engagement is of the utmost importance.

The ideal incumbent 

  • You will have extensive food processing experience, ideally in the dairy industry
  • Senior level experience in manufacturing management is a must
  • You are a strong communicator and motivator and are capable of effectively utilising available resource to best meet operational objectives
  • You perform well under pressure
