The Role

This is an exciting role to lead the development and execution of category management strategies to realise the benefits and opportunities to add real commercial value. 

Taking responsibility for defining and leading the procurement of a multi-million dollar indirects category, including; travel, professional services and commercial fleet management. You will;
  • Manage relationships with a number of key stakeholders to ensure their requirements are met and contracts are leveraged across many business units. This will include;
    • Producing category management plans
    • Leading the execution of category strategy, 
    • Leading the go-to-market initiatives, negotiations and supplier relationship management. 
    • Your focus on procurement best practice will, in turn, deliver cost savings and increased value to the business units.
About you

You will be a self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously whilst having a propensity to build strong stakeholder and supplier relationships. Tech savvy with the ability to analyse data using Excel and ERP systems, you will also have;
  • Indirect categories procurement expertise, ideally in travel and professional services (3 years+)
  • Knowledge and understanding of procurement process and activities
  • Highly effective influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills along with the demonstrated capability for decision making, sound judgment and assertiveness.
  • Proven ability to manage workload in order to meet timescales
