Warehouse Assistant

Our warehouse department is looking for one experienced warehouse assistant to join our busy team at 27 Verissimo Drive, close to the airport. The role is responsible to look after the movement of products from the warehouse or inventory thereby keeping a close watch on the inflow and outflow of goods. This position is ideal for candidates with a good understanding of dairy products manufacturing practices.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Be responsible for the safe storage of product within company guidelines
- Accurate forklift driving to ensure minimal product damage
- Report and clean up any damages within the warehouse
- Be responsible for the unloading and loading of trucks and shipping containers
- Ensure DIFOT (Delivery in Full on Time) is the key focus to all activities undertaken
- Assist the Warehouse Manager – Operations to plan daily warehouse functions
- Assist the Warehouse Manager – Operations and Warehouse Team Lead – Inventory with problem solving and maintenance fault solutions within the warehouse as required
- Liaise with other warehouse team members, production staff, maintenance staff, wider supply chain team and external logistics/transport teams to ensure an effective and efficient daily operation
- Demonstrate and promote a proactive commitment to health & safety, wellbeing and the environment whilst complying with all laws and company policies
- Undertake identified personal training / development approved by the Warehouse Manager
You are expected to have:

- Understand of the stock management processes
- Quick learner
- A can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work under pressure
- Flexibility with overtime and weekends work if required
To be considered for this position, you need:
- Valid Forklift driver licence or Class 2 license
- At least one year relevant experience (Warehouse/logistics)
- Full clean NZ Drivers licence with reliable transport
