Our global organisation is currently in search for a Driver/Yard Hand to join our Australian New Zealand Region working within the New Plymouth Depot. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the delivery of our fleet and providing workshop support and co-ordination. This job offers the opportunity to work for a global organisation, with a great team environment in a role that offers variety.
Key responsibilities consist of:
- Delivery of goods to project sites.
- Manual loading and unloading of goods to transport.
- Consistent upkeep of the workshop.
- Maintaining a high level of site cleanliness to ensure a healthy and safe environment.
- General yard duties – sweeping workshop floors, clean-up of the workshop etc.
- Daily inventory and when necessary the replenishment of stock stores.
- Receiving and dispatching of goods.
- Assist Service Technicians when needed.
- Preparation, supervision and tidy up of equipment.
- Refuelling and sorting of equipment.
- Forklift and crane driving.
- Practise of safe work habits following Aggreko Health, Safety and Environment and any other relevant company policies and procedures, such as the use of PPE clothing provided.
- Delivery of objectives on strict timeframes.
About you:
- Ability to work individually but also in a team.
- Currently Heavy Vehicle Driver's license.
- Current Fork Lift license.
- An honest, motivated and hardworking attitude.
- Clear interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Physically fit with enthusiasm towards manual labour.
- Ability to act with initiative and problem solving skills in pressure situations.
- Excellent time management skills.
