About the role
This role is designed to lead NZHL's risk and compliance governance framework that includes implementation of requirements set out in the financial advice regime and ongoing monitoring and auditing of those requirements. Key to this role is ensuring risk and compliance is effectively delivered across NZHL.
Skills and experience
- Completion of a tertiary qualification and relevant quality and compliance management experience in a financial services environment.
- High-level oral communication skills, including the ability to deliver management briefings and consult with staff at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent written communication skills with an ability to prepare written material such as internal policies, standards and quality assurance reports.
- Demonstrated experience in producing and monitoring risk assessments & preparing and participating in internal and external audits/reviews.
- Computer literacy, including strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite packages.
- Experience in conducting internal quality and/or compliance audits and execution of remediation plans.
