The role
We are looking for a passionate Operations Manager to join our night-shift Wiri team at our Controlled Temperature Distribution Centre. You will be joining a team who are committed to going above and beyond for our customers (think Four Square, New World & PAK’nSAVE). You will lead a team of Store Persons who ensure freight is transferred safely and efficiently within the DC to then be sent to our stores.
In this role you will take ownership in a dynamic and ever-changing environment where operational excellence is key. You will ensure we have a robust process where customer demands are met at a high standard, your team will be highly engaged and motivated, above all championing and driving a people first health and safety culture.
About you
You will be comfortable in your decision- making abilities and have the confidence to engage with others by having the right conversations and dealing with day to day matters as they arise. It won’t just be your experience from within the warehousing industry, your passion and enthusiasm will speak volumes to your team. Keys to your success will also include:
- Proven operational experience and knowledge in a Transport/Supply Chain environment
- A confident people leader who can take the team on a journey to success
- Expert user of warehouse and transport management systems and technology
- Able to take the lead role in Health & Safety
