Your Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager of Supply Chain, NPD and Contract Business Development you will lead the demand and supply planning team in the effective application of Best Practice and efficient processes, to build an integrated consensus demand plan, to ensure that finished products are available to meet customer demand, at the right stock location at minimum cost.   
 
About You


Whilst this role has operational elements we are looking for a strategic thinker and someone who can manage high level resource & capacity planning for the manufacturing environments. Degree-qualified with solid demand or supply planning experience within the FMCG or Pharmaceutical industry. Vitaco has a significant manufacturing footprint in NZ so experience in working in a manufacturing environment is key. You will be highly skilled to lead the team, manage financial data, create a collaborative demand process, and refine and improve our supply processes. The right person must be thorough and detailed, with a high level of relationship building and influencing skills. ERP system and other related IT software (including programming or SQL) skills will be highly desirable, whilst clear and effective communication skills are essential. 

The key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Sales and Operational Planning process and develop plans to meet operational requirements
  • Manage planning teams to deliver appropriate production plans to multiple manufacturing plants within our organisation
  • Supply Chain strategy development including ERP refinement / configuration
  • Leading the implementation of our new products from business approval to successful launch
  • Build a capable, effective and engaged team aligned to organisational objectives
  • Responsibility for the Export Customer Services team and co-ordination between customers and manufacturing plans.  
  • Co-ordinate with the procurement team to meet, cost, time and quality requirements.

Ideally you will possess the following key skills and attributes;

  • Degree qualified with specific supply chain and planning components 
  • High level of proven leadership skills (preferably from a regulated environment)
  • End to end Supply Chain Management experience with a focus on demand and supply planning and/or inventory management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to influence, communicate and facilitate change
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (including Marketing and Sales), including strengths in negotiation, issue management, and influencing.
  • Advanced  Microsoft Excel and numerical skills with strong experience using ERP systems – Navision / SQL capabilities an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great organisation skills with ability to prioritise and multitask in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and a very high level of attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, results driven and positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Logical thinking person with an ability to ‘think out of the box’ to succeed in what can often be challenging situations.
