About the Role
We are looking to recruit experienced and energetic, safety conscious people that are interested in gaining new skills and experience on the Port! Candidates for these roles would suit people already experienced in operating cranes, excavators and other pieces of similar heavy equipment. This experience could be from a logistics background, forestry, construction or civil engineering. Whatever your background, we'd be interested in talking to you.
The rates of pay offered will match the level of skill and experience that an individual brings to the operation.
If you don't have machinery experience but you are looking for a career in this industry we still want to hear from you as you could be employed as a General Hand stevedore and receive training [start rate for General Hands is $19.75].
We work 12-hour shifts on the port [7am-7pm and 7pm-7am] and weekend when required to meet shipping requirements. Similarly some travel is required so we need people who are flexible and able to work without a fixed roster.
Safety is our #1 priority and we have a zero tolerance on drugs in the workplace. Therefore all candidates must be prepared to undertake pre-employment and regular random drug testing and be properly inducted into each are of the business.
