The Company:
Our client is a leading supplier of materials into the commercial construction and interior fitout market, including suspended ceiling products, aluminium partitioning, steel stud, industrial and commercial insulation, Passive Fire Products as well as a large range of acoustic wall coverings and whiteboards. 
  
The Role:
This newly created role is hands-on reporting to the General Manager where you will lead and manage the warehouse and distribution function as well as manage the site facilities.
  
Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensure dispatch is run efficiently with proactive planning used to provide solutions to resolve potential issues all whilst ensuring DIFOT is met
• Provide your team with direction, support and promote collaboration, cooperation and teamwork through effective leadership
• Manage the operational aspects of ongoing transport costs and serve as liaison between 3rd party carriers and management
• Maintain an outstanding environment of internal controls.
• Take responsibility for the sites Health and Safety

What you need and must demonstrate in your application:

• Experienced at leading, managing and motivating a warehouse and distribution team
• Sound knowledge of stock management and dispatch processes
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
• Experienced user of MS Office and an ERP system
• Ability to build credibility quickly at all levels within an organization
• Comfortable making decisions and pushing back tactfully when required
