Our client is a New Zealand family owned & operated company and a global leader that designs, develops, manufactures and distributes tractor powered mowing machinery for sports fields, municipalities, golf and turf. Their business is built on innovation, backed up by outstanding service and building strong long-term supply relationships.
Due to continued growth they are now seeking an Assistant Team Leader/Assembler to join their experienced team based in Tauranga.
It involves:
- Assembly of various commercial mowing equipment, including mechanical fitment of sub-assemblies, weldments, gearboxes, drive systems, electrical and hydraulic components, decals etc
- Following and improving assembly procedures
- Accountable to certain performance standards and measurable KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
- Overtime required at peak production times
- Cross skilling available into other areas and teams
We are looking for candidates that are:
- Mechanically minded (not necessarily trade qualified)
- Passionate about what they do and are wanting to work for a company that exceeds the challenge every day
- Willing to learn new things and think outside the square
- Must be a motivated individual
- Quality focused to produce a high-quality product
- Be able to work unsupervised, take responsibility, lead the team
- Be competent in reading drawings and standard operational procedures
