Pure Bottling is a 100% NZ owned juice and beverage manufacturer located in Tauranga. We have a dedicated team that works together to create the best products for our clients. We are looking for an experienced Quality and compliance assistant to join our bubbly Quality team. 

About the role

Purpose of Position:

To monitor and assist in maintaining compliance in Quality, Health & Safety and Food Safety within Pure Bottling to achieve the goal of Pure Bottling becoming a world class contract bottling provider to premium customers.

Key Activities:

  • Support Quality and Systems Manager in the maintenance of the Pure Bottling Deemed Food Control Plan
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of customer product specifications, ensure changes are effectively communicated to relevant staff.
  • Inspect goods being manufactured to ensure consistency, integrity and compliance to specification
  • Assist in facilitation of the Pure Bottling Health & Safety programme, including but not limited to: attendance of monthly meetings, assist with site inductions, conduct site monitoring
  • Assist in maintenance of Organic Management Plan
  • Monitor production activities to ensure all products and associated inputs are being handled appropriately and in a safe manner.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive environment where people feel confident to share information, feedback is constructive and full potential is achieved.
  • Maintain the Quality Control Laboratory, including (but not limited to) completing calibrations, general cleanliness and assisting with completion of in-house testing regimes.
  • Coordinate organization of required micro samples from each production run, send samples to appropriate laboratory for specified testing regimes.
  • Recording and timely reporting of any non-compliances or inappropriate/unsafe behaviours observed to the Quality and Systems Manager and/or other Pure Bottling management staff as required
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement to Pure Bottling processes, systems and training related to Quality and Compliance.
  • Lead by example in the adherence to Pure Bottling Health & Safety standards, monitor staff adherence to these standards and report hazards.

 

Miscellaneous:

  • Administrative tasks such as maintaining stock levels of consumables, assisting site visitors

Skills and experience

The candidate will ideally have quality experience in a food manufacturing environment but is not a necessity.
