This role will be an administrative role, supporting the AKL Logistics Manager and be responsible to manage all customer requests, queries, data uploads   pertaining to the Agility Auckland warehouse and the efficient response and resolution to these requests and queries, providing status and KPI reports, invoicing and customer service to customers and supporting the Auckland Logistics Manager Controller and warehouse staff.

The role will also involve process mapping and improvement, as well as providing cost models for RFQs in conjunction with the team in Australia.

This role will be the conduit between the warehouse IT team in Australia and NZ and will also provide back up personnel for extraordinary client tasks, such as stock takes.

The role will also support the Logistics Manager in quality and compliance matters.

The candidate does not necessarily need prior freight and logistics experience, just a good working knowledge of computers and a desire to learn.

In this role you will be required to;

  • To complete the weekly and monthly invoicing for the warehousing clients in Auckland.
  • To provide the KPI reports and lead the client meetings for the Key accounts in the Auckland warehouse that have regularly client calls.
  • To be the conduit between the IT team in Australia and NZ to ensure that IT enhancements and fixes are rolled out in an efficient manner.
  • To champion process improvement initiatives.
  • To provide cost modelling support to RFQ’s to assist management in making pricing decisions.
  • Continuous improvement principles are in place and adhered to.
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy is achieved in the relevant duties performed.
  • Follow defined WHS&E policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace
  • Participate in cycle counts and periodical stocktaking.
  • As directed, perform other duties that are within the employee's skill, competence and training.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements (NZ Customs/MPI/etc)
  • As part of this role the incumbent is required to support the Sales, Account Management and Operations departments.

The successful candidate will have the following;

  • Required:

    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Powerpoint and Word.

  • Preferred:

    • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain, logistics, business or related field.

    • Basic knowledge of LEAN and/or Kaizen methodologies.

    • IT competency.
