About the business and the role
Addiction Foods NZ Ltd is the manufacturer of global pet food brands – Addiction and Wishbone. We operate and New Zealand's largest dry pet food plant in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, where we manufacture and export the highest quality pet foods in the world. We are passionate about pets and "We go to the Ends of The Earth for your Pet" by only using the highest quality raw materials in the cleanest place in the world to produce pet food.
We are undergoing significant expansion and will be installing new production lines to increase capability and capacity. We are seeking a Project Manager to manage projects to ensure that they are delivered on time and on budget.

This is a fixed term position of 18 months.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Directing and coordinating the allocation of project resources
- Ensure thorough commissioning of new equipment, which includes risk assessment of hazards and implementation of controls
- Ensure new processes waste is minimized and outputs optimized
- Monitoring work progress and performance, and adjusting processes and resources to keep goals on track
- Lead or supporting new product ideas, ingredients, formulas, and processing
- Provides coaching and mentoring to the team members and motivate them to provide good quality of work for project completion
- Ensures health & safety standards for the project team
- Provides status reports to the leadership team
Skills and experience
- With food manufacturing experience
- Qualifications in food technology/science
- Experience in handling fresh meat/ seafood products/ food products
- Skills in identifying and initiating improvement in the production lines
- Excellent communication skills
