Who are you?

We’re on the lookout for a driven, self-starter to join our Business Development team as a Business Performance Analyst on a full time, permanent basis. If you have experience in information visualisation, have exceptional data and analytical skills and are seeking a role that supports achieving the strategic goals of an organisation, this could be the role for you. The location for this role is flexible, being either our New Plymouth based Head Office, or our Central Auckland based Business Development team.

Reporting directly to the National Manager - Business Performance, this is a key role in driving the performance of the wider business through providing insightful and timely analysis of sales performance for optimal decision making.

As part of the role, you will:

• Assist in the development and criteria for key performance indicators and communicate these to stakeholders
• Build, automate and maintain management information reporting that provides insightns effectively and fit to purpose to stakeholders
• Interpret data to identify trends, strengths and weaknesses at both a regional and sector level
• Provide actionable insights and information for ad-hoc queries as required by the Customer Sales and Service leadership team

To be successful in this role you’ll need: 

• Knowledge of report design/data visualisation best practices
• Ability to turn data into compelling information suiting the needs of Sales professionals
• Experience with SQL and the end-to-end development for BI solutions
• Data and analytical skills, ability to obtain information from complex datasets
• To be self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and have a one-team approach
• Experience with information visualisation with tools such asTableau/Qlikview etc, with knowledge of best practice
• Previous experience working within Banking, Retail or FMCG sector preferred but not essential
