About the role

As Production Planner the purpose of your role is to coordinate efficient and effective operation of the Alto Albany plant.

This role is broad based and varied, with a blend of scheduling work for production through to managing purchasing activities and keeping reporting and records maintained and updated. At least half of your role will be involved in production planning and you will need to be adept at adhering to process which involves daily planning and scheduling of customer orders, analysis of long-term requirements and capacity and monitoring of inventory levels.

Your role will also include:

  • working together with logistics and warehousing
  • inventory management and stocktakes.
  • managing the sales and operations process
  • supporting the broader objectives of the business and your team-mates.

Skills and experience

Previous experience of production planning in a repetitive manufacturing or production area (ideally in a packaging environment) is essential to this role. We work in a LEAN environment so your ability to improve factory utilisation and improve formality of planning processes in manufacturing will be looked upon favorably.

  • have great interpersonal skills
  • be customer focused MRP/ERP system knowledge.

This is a SAP environment, so previous exposure here will stand you apart from the rest.
