Class 5 Driver

EnviroNZ services all community needs; from the collection and disposal of waste & recycling, through to recovery, remediation and treatment. In doing so, we are committed to promoting sustainable processes, resource recovery and waste minimisation.

Our Christchurch based Collections team are looking for a Class 5 Driver to join our team. This driving role will be responsible for operating a Huka Truck & trailer in order to carry out the safe and efficient collection of refuse and recyclables from our valued commercial customers. This role would suit a self-motivated candidate who has a drive to learn.

Working with customers, safety & customer satisfaction is of upmost importance. 

The ideal candidate for this role:
o Will hold a clean Class 5 licence (or above)
o Will have 2+ years proven driving experience in a professional role (Huka truck & trailer experience would be an advantage however full training would be provided)
o Has a sound understanding of Health & Safety and NZTA's Worktime and Logbook requirements
o Possesses good level of physical fitness
o Confidently knows geographical area around Christchurch area
o Will be self-motivated and approachable
o Is able to complete paper work in a timely manner
o Works well as part of a team
This role is approximately 50 hours per week

All new Drivers are trained and assessed on our fleet of vehicles.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Health Assessment (including drugs test) and complete a Ministry of Justice criminal records check, the results of which must be to EnviroNZ's satisfaction.
