The role includes:

• Production planning and management activities within the company.
• Develop production plans, budgets and timelines according to production specifications.
• Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to management.
• Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications.
• Plan work flow and schedules for production departments.
• Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.
• Work closely with purchasing manager
• Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.
• Notify customers on any delays and outages.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.
• Assist in new product development and enhancements.
• Ensure that finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production.

 
 
Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as production planner within the FMCG sector with a minimum of 10 years experience in production/inventory planning
• Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Competent user of MS Office and ERP systems
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills – able to juggle multiple jobs concurrently
• Excellent communication skills – able to keep everyone happy and on track
• Totally client focused – the client is centric to all activities
• Experienced managing long lead times of materials and inventory
